Dolese “Big Man” Benoit, 91, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Beatrice Benoit; son, Roland (Margaret) Benoit; daughter, Janice (Michael) Fabregas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oremile and Mary Benoit; son, Roy Benoit; brothers, Eddie, Dave and Mack Benoit; and sisters, Eve Himel, Laura Andras, Estelle Boudreaux, Bernice Sanchez and Tillie Ordoyne.
Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Thibodaux)
