Dolores Cantu Alesi, 78, a native of Sugarland, Tx., and a resident of Harvey, La., died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, June 16.
She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Morgan and husband, Thomas, of Harvey, and J. Annette Fanguy and husband, Rory, of Houma, La.; brother, Paul Cantu of San Antonio, Tx.; sisters, Ramona Hernandez and Lucy Cantu of San Antonio; grandchildren, Joe Alesi Fanguy and fiancee’, Jessica Bergeron, and Jeri Ann Fanguy of Houma; great-grandchildren, Alesi Lynn Fanguy and Loralei Sophia Whitten; and her godchild, Dawn Domangue Duplantis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alesi; her parents, Sotero Cantu Sr. and Emilia DeLaFeuntes Cantu; brothers, Sotero Cantu Jr. and Frank Cantu; and sisters, Mary Bailey and Paulina Cantu.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
