Donald J. Champagne, 57, a native of Marrero, La., and a resident of Gheens, La., died Sunday, Sept. 27, at 11:59 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Champagne; mother, Shirley G. Champagne; two brothers, Gerald Champagne and Jeff Champagne; two sisters, Elaine C. Breaux and Judy C. Newhouse; 10 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Champagne.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired after 32 years of service at Lafourche Parish Water District #1. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport, La.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
