Doris Ida Hymel Aucoin, 89, a native of Chackbay, La., and resident of Amelia, La., died Saturday, July 10, 2010.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory, Blane (Susan) and Thane (Sunya) Aucoin; daughter, Cynthia Aucoin; eight grandchildren, Mary Frances, Emma, Ryan, Erin, Alyse and Austin Aucoin, Amy Desormeaux and Nicholas Lirette; two great-grandchildren, Tate Aucoin and Rhett Desormeaux; and sister, Beatrice Easley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Aucoin; parents, Walter and Emma Hymel: one son, Joseph Aucoin; four sisters; and three brothers.
She is buried at St. Andrew Catholic Church Cemetery in Amelia.
