Doris “Dot” Josephine Giroir Chauvin, 81, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and resident of Gray, LA., died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Russell J. Chauvin of Gray; five sons, Daniel J. Chauvin and wife, Linda, of Mandeville, LA., David A. Chauvin and wife, Iris, of Orlando, FA., Dean P. Chauvin and wife, Debi, Darryll T. Chauvin of Houma and Don M. Chauvin and wife, Jennifer, of LaPlace, LA.; one brother, Oris Giroir of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren, David Charles Chauvin, Sean Chauvin, Jade Chauvin Collins, William R. Chauvin, Dean Paul Chauvin, M.D., Jenny Rebecca Chauvin, Benjamin Chauvin, Tiffany Lauren Chauvin, Don Michael Chauvin and Jenna Lynn Chauvin; and four great-grandchildren, Emily Page Chauvin, Adelle Rene’ Chauvin, Alexa Collins and Aidan Collins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Numa Giroir and Bessie Hebert Giroir; and one brother, David Giroir.
She was a retired sales clerk at Concepts and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
