Dorothy Charpentier Davis, 70, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.
Ms. Davis was a member of Montegut Baptist Church who had a love for Jesus and loved reading her Bible. She will be missed.
She is survived by her sons, Ollie Jr. and Leonard (Amanda) Courteaux; daughters, Amy (Shelby) Grissom and Tina Courteaux; sister, Josephine Johnson; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Cornelia Charpentier; brothers, Leo, Joseph, Russell, Leroy, Lloyd and Louis Charpentier; sisters, Cornelia Roth and Barbara Charpentier; and daughter, Wendy Courteaux.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Montegut Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
