Superintendents name challenges for new school year
August 2, 2011Dorothy F. “Miss Dot” Maronge, 78, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and resident of Raceland, La., died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011.
Mrs. Maronge was a parishioner of St. Mary Church.
She is survived by her father, Agney Folse; son, Evest (Rachel) Maronge; daughters, Ramona Guidry, Rebecca Maronge, Rosalie (Craig) Rogers and Rachel Quick; sister, Delores Davis; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Maronge; and mother, Gertrude Folse.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at St. Mary Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
