Douglas “Paw Paw Tee” Joseph Thommasie, Sr., 85, a resident and native of Lockport, La., died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La. with burial in the Holy Savior Cemetary.
He is survived by his son, Douglas Thomassie, Jr.; two daughters, Judy Thomassie Chiasson and Peggy Thomassie Marrs; four brothers, Roland, Robert, Jerry, and Nathan Thomassie; one sister, Florence Sanders; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and 10 step-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Theriot Thomassie; his parents, Massie, Sr. and Marie Guidry Thomassie, and 3 brothers, Clifton, Massie, Jr., and Leo Thomassie, Sr.
He was a W.W. II Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 83 of Lockport, and he was retired from J. Ray McDermott after 30 years of service.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
