Jail woes continue in Lafourche Parish with tax on hold – for now

Druby Francis Dupre, 78, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 4 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011.


Mr. Dupre was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was retired from J. Ray McDermott after over 30 years, and he loved to cook for his family and friends.


He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth Dupre; sons, Mark (Dolly) and Rory Dupre; brother, Eric Dupre; sister, Alice (Terry) Hebert; two grandchildren, Tyler Dupre and Toby Bonin; and three great-grandchildren, Trey, Tyra and Taytum Bonin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justilian Francis Dupre and Ezar Marie Dupre; and brother, Andrew Dupre.

He is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
