Druby J. Ledet, 85, a native of Montegut, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, April 29, 2009.

Mr. Ledet worked for 35 years for Exxon Oil Company and retired as a field superintendent. He and his wife Yvonne spent the early years of their retirement traveling in their motor home with the Exxon Retirees Travel Club and with the Cruisin’ Cajuns. In his later retirement years, his time and devotion were to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He will be sadly missed by his family and the many lives he touched; from the pulmonary rehab staff to the fourth floor nursing staff at TGMC and his coffee buddies at Annunziata Catholic Church. He was a long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus and a former usher, where he was a devoted church member and supporter.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Yvonne Henry Ledet; son, Kenneth (Hazel) Ledet; daughters, Eurlie (Bobby) Williams, Gale Ledet and Cathy Kohmann; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Gerald (Nell) Ledet.

He is buried at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
