Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

Dudley Joseph Pertuit, 74, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Friday, May 14, 2010.

Mr. Pertuit was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a longtime employee of the 2-R Drilling Company.


He is survived by his wife, Mary “Tillie” Rogers Pertuit; sons, Randy (Arlene), Keith (Wanda) and Tommy (Angie) Pertuit; daughter, Roxanne (Mark) Choate; stepdaughters, Elaine (Kent) Madere, Laurie (Stan) Mendoza, Mary Beth (Greg) Landry and Leslie (Cyrus) Kyanfar; sisters, Janet Robichaux and Helen Folse; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He is buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
