Durrelle Paul Verrette, 55, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
Mr. Verrette was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He fished 13 Bassmaster events, several opens and weekend series tournaments. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Verrette; mother, Ediana Verrette; son, Devin Verrette; stepdaughter, Sarah Naquin; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Usie Verrette; and brother, Lionel Verrette.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
