Mr. Earl Harding, Sr., 78, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, LA., died Monday, January 22, 2007.


Visitation will be from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at St. Luke Baptist Church in Bayou Dularge at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, AlJosie Harding; his sons, Earl Harding, Jr. and wife, Dorothy of Marrero, LA. and Louis Harding and wife, Debra of Houma,LA.; his daughters, Marion Jones and husband, Henry of Gray, LA., Genereve Lewis and husband, Ernest James of Gray, Rose Castle and husband, Clyde of Houma, Lucille Nevis, and Nicole Smith and husband, Troy of Houma; his brothers, Hayward Harding and wife, Ora Lee, and Alvin Harding all of Houma; his sisters, Hazel Harding, Velma Ellis and husband, James, and Helen Lyons and husband, Henry all of Houma; 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ollie Steward Harding; his son, James Harding; his grandson, James Deon Harding, Jr.; his granddaughter, LaTana Harding; his sister, Albertha Harding Howard, and his brothers, Freddie and Edward Harding.

He was a baptist and member of St. Luke Bapist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He was a retired bus driver and mechanic with Terrebonne Parish School Board.
