Eba Pierre “Peter” LeBlanc Jr., 84, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, May 20, at 9:15 a.m.


He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia Ayo LeBlanc; two daughters, Laura Lee Domingue and husband, Eddie, Bonnie Guidry and husband, Lynn; one son Eba Pierre LeBlanc III and wife, Pam; one sister, Elaine “Nan” Autin; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eba Pierre LeBlanc Sr. and Laura Murphy LeBlanc; two sisters, Miriam Hungerford and Lois Dugas; one grandson, Kevin Domingue; and granddaughter, Lauren LeBlanc.


He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a retired draftsman with Texaco, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, playing cards, and traveling with his wife on bus trips across the country.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Dupont, Dr. Hawthorne, Dr. Cinnater and their nurses for the care and concern they have shown over the years.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday, Friday, May 22, at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
