Eddie Folse, 89, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Sunday, November 23.
He is survived by four sons, Henry Lee Folse of Long Beach, Ca.; Ray Charles Folse and Randy Folse of Raceland and Floyd Folse and wife Sandra Folse of Thibodaux, La.; three daughters, Rosemary Thomas and husband Wilbert, Julia Ann Smith and husband Albert Sr., and Zelda Marie Folse all of Raceland; two brothers, Leonard Folse of Thibodaux and Noland Folse of Raceland; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Folse; parents, Marcelain Sr. and Ida Folse; one son, Ulysses Folse; one daughter, Leotha Johnson; three sisters, Celestine Folse, Sedonia Shelby and Viola Folse; four brothers, Aubrey Folse, Joseph Folse, Marcelain Folse Jr., and Lawless Folse; one granddaughter, Janice Johnson Carr.
He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and served on the usher board. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific. His hobbies included farming.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, at St. Paul Baptist Church at Lafourche Crossing, La. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
