Edgar “Wizard” Paul Crochet Sr., 62, a native of Des Allemands, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, June 25, at 9 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Dina B. Crochet; sons, Edgar Crochet Jr. and Billy Crochet; daughters, Rachel Villavaso and husband Doug, Angel C. Bergeron and husband Gary, and Kristy LeCompte; brothers, Melvin Crochet, Roy Crochet, Richard Crochet and Pete Crochet; half-brother, David Mullins; sister, Paula Benoit; half-sisters, Francis Mullins and Goldie Mullins; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Julie Z. Crochet; sister, Rose Lee; and half-sister, Annette Mullins.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, at Raceland Assembly of God Church with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
