Edne A. Larousse, 91, a native and resident of Kraemer “Bayou Boeuf”, La., died Wednesday, February 25.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas, Daniel and Gary Larousse; daughters, Carrol Dempster, Karen Frickey, Mercedes DeJean and Gloria Parker; stepsons, Raymond and Frank Kraemer; stepdaughter, Ida Mae Martinez; 40 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; and six great-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Cortez Larousse; parents, Desire Larousse II and Elmira Granier Larousse; son, Edne J. Larousse; stepson, Howard Kraemer; stepdaughter, Eva Cortez; brothers, Desire Larousse III and Felix Larousse; and sisters, Euronie Martinez, Elise Nicholas, Elmira Adams and Olive Rome.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, February 26, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, February 27, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Kraemer. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
