Edward Castle Sr., 77, a native of Montegut, La. and resident of Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Southdown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Johnson Castle of Morgan City; three sons, Edward Castle and wife, Betty, Isaac Castle Sr. and wife, Sandra, all of Houma, and Rodney Castle of Morgan City; three daughters, Julia Castle and Evela Bradford, both of Morgan City, and Clara Johnson of Hammond, La.; one sister, Pinky Castle Ross of Houma; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Maggie Brooks Castle; one son, Martin Castle; five brothers, Martin, Dave, Robert, Issac and Clarence Castle; two sisters, Jane Robinson and Lucille Castle; and two grandchildren, Isaiah and Jonas Castle.
He was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
