Lafourche permit office tries to stymie
April 21, 2011Elaine Bourg Covington, 78, a native of Donaldsonville, La., died Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
Mrs. Covington enjoyed cooking for family and friends, working in her yard, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching LSU football. She was dearly loved for her caring nature and will be sadly missed. She was a retired teacher.
She is survived by her husband, James Covington Sr.; daughters, Jami (David) Chadwick and Jennifer (David) Masterson; sons, James (Amy) and Jon (Wendy) Covington; nine grandchildren, Anna and Amelie Chadwick, Collin, Emma, Ella and Carson Covington, and Christopher, Jack and Camille Masterson; and brothers, Nicky and Michael Bourg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Georgiana Bourg; one sister, Jacqueline Hymel; and two brothers, Robert and Claude Jr. “Toby”.
The family would like to express gratitude to Mitzi Redditt, Betty Causey and the caring staff of Grace Health and Rehab Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
She is buried at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery. (Ourso)
