Elaine Lin

Elaine Clark Lin, 54, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at 9:10 a.m.

She is survived by her husband, You Hong Lin; three sons, Deon Blakemore Sr. and his wife Valencia, Towence L. Hartman, and Albert Hartman Jr.; one daughter, Tiffani D. Blakemore; two brothers, the Rev. Johnny Clark and his wife Carol, and the Rev. Fredrick Clark and his wife Marguret; five sisters, Theresa Bradley, Patricia Abram, Gail Spencer and her husband Phillip, Helen Ricks and her husband Willie, and Deborah Russell and her husband Charles; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Clark and Helen Kennedy Williams; one son, Damien A. Hartman; two sisters, Evelyn Washington and Josephine Simmons; and her grandparents, Duncan and Evelyn Kennedy, and Joseph and Theresa Eugene Clark.

Elaine was a devout Baptist and co-owner of Hong Lin Kitchen in Dularg, La.

Visitation is Tuesday, August 27, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church. She will be buried in Southdown Cemetery.

Community Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
