Luncheon to recognize area’s foster parents; More adults needed to provide homes to youths

Elba Simoneaux LeBoeuf, 86, a native of Morgan City, La. and resident of Montegut, La., died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Montegut Fire Station and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.


She is survived by three sons, Roy P. LeBoeuf Jr. and wife, Deanna, Myron “Pepe” LeBoeuf and wife, Jean, and Rene’ LeBoeuf and wife, Debbie, of Houma, La.; 14 grandchildren, Kevin LeBoeuf, Angela Williams, Kerry LeBoeuf, Adrianne Foor, Aubrey LeCompte Jr., Brett LeCompte, Andrea Escobedo, Michelle Hoychick, Julie LeRay, Matthew LeBoeuf, Chad LeBoeuf, Damon LeBoeuf, Sabrina LeBoeuf and Stephanie LeBoeuf; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. LeBoeuf Sr.; her parents, Darby J. “Toby” Simoneaux Sr. and Eva LeBlanc Simoneaux; one son, Ivan J. LeBoeuf; one daughter, Ellen LeBoeuf LeCompte; one brother, Darby J. Simoneaux Jr.; and one sister, Noemie Simoneaux Cutting.

She was a retired librarian with Terrebonne Parish Library and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
