Eldon Clifford “Cliff” Harshman Sr., 82, a native of Milton Center, Ohio, and a resident of Bayou Blue, La., died at 2:17 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, due to complications from cancer.


Mr. Harshman was in the U.S. Army Air Force and a veteran of World War II. He loved many things in life, including fishing, cooking and making wine, but he especially loved to make people laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ola Mae Daigle Harshman; sons, Eldon Jr., Kenny (Darcy), Erroll, Charlie (Hylma) and Neil (Sherry) Harshman; daughters, Darlene Jacques, Marlene Nelson, Ellen Sanders and Kathy Hussey; one stepson, Brent Robinson; one sister, Doris Hamm; 19 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Harshman donated his body to science. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
