Elizabeth “Liz” Taylor Rogers, 54, a native of Pleasant Hill, La., and resident of Berwick, La., died Sunday Feb. 5, 2012.


Mrs. Rogers graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She was a 30 year employee of St Mary Parish School Board and spent the majority of those years as a special education teacher at Berwick Junior High School. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be lovingly remembered.


She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard Rogers; sons, Kristopher (Elyse), Brian and Tyler Rogers; siblings, Glenda Fountain, James (Karen) and Joel (Linda) Taylor, Rita (Mike) Spiker, Cheryl Chausow, Terri (Douglas) Theall and Charles (Carmel); and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rita Taylor; and brother, Dr. Donald Taylor.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, La., and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
