Ella Marie Trahan Sinitiere, 70, a resident of Baton Rouge, La., died at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011.


Mrs. Sinitiere was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, ministered through St. Jean Vianney Social Responsibilities and served on their Core Planning Committee. She was also a member of Catholic Daughter of St. Jean Vianney, Court # 2303 and served for Threads of Love and Habitat for Humanity. She was also involved in the Double Nickle Club and Hickory Ridge Gardening Club. She was honored in 2007 by the Diocese Council of Catholic Women.


She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hebert Geib; sons, Jerry (Liz) and Bob (Vina) Sinitiere; sister, Rosalie Trahan; brothers, Ivy Jr., Howard (Diane), Garland (Gail) and Randall (Mary Lee) Trahan; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Sinitiere, Catherine and Chris Watts, Amy and Billy Spinks, Sarah and Ritchie Bullion, Kristopher Geib and Taylor Geib; and seven great-grandchildren, Andrew and Graham Watts, Harris, Maysen and Morgan Spinks, Ava and Brody Bullion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Sinitiere; her parents, Ivy and Rosalie Trahan; and one sister, Mary Trahan.
