Elmire “Ma Ma” Cheramie Rousse, 88, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Monday, May 19, 2014.
She is survived by her sisters, Aglaie Adams and Edna Duet; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Rousse; sons, Forrest Jr. and Danny Sr. Rousse; parents, Theodore and Edna Cheramie; and brothers Alicide, Noel, Remis, Eugene, Ludwick, Edwin, Edville, Aziel and Howell Cheramie.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 22, and 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
