Elsa Yolanda Zapata Parchmont, 77, a native of Mexico and resident of Patterson, La., died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.
Mrs. Parchmont was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who provided a loving and stable home for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needle work and embroidery. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of a weekly prayer group.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred Parchmont; daughters, Marjorie and Elsa Parchmont; brothers, Carlos and Luis Zapata; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Enriqueta Zapata; sister, Irma Zapata; and brothers, Manuel, Jorge, Gilberto and Enrique Zapata.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Ibert’s
