Elsie Marguerite Benoit Bienvenu, 70, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 4:39 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010.
Mrs. Bienvenu retired from South Louisiana Electric Co-Op and was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed camping and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Anthony Bienvenu; sons, Craig (Donna) and Corey (Barbara) Bienvenu; daughter, Desiree’ Ann (Timothy) Price; 10 grandchildren, Angelle (Trey Domangue) and Ariel Price, Caitlin (Mike) Boudreaux, Joshua and Ty Bienvenu, Jessica (Travis) Matherne, Shane (Megan) Kelly and Megan Kelly, and Seth and Kimberly Falgout; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alyssa Matherne; brother, Chris Benoit Sr.; and sisters, Patricia Baio and Cassandra Ledet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nuel Sr. and Elsie Kaul Benoit; twin brother, Nuel Benoit Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothy Bergeron and Yolanda Thibodaux.
The family would like to thank Holly Andras and Rachel Pothier with Amedysis Hospice and Charlotte Halbrook with Home Heath Care.
She is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
