November 10, 2011Elton Victor Billiot Sr., 78, a native and resident of Franklin, La., died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2011.
Mr. Billiot was a longtime member of St. Jules Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Centerville Council #4309. In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trolling. He also enjoyed playing bingo.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Molly Billiot; children, Theresa Tate, Mary Priester, Julie Prejean, Donna Hardy, Elton Billiot Jr. and Melissa Broussard; four step-children; brother, Floyd Billiot; sister, Hazel Temple; 28 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Katie Billiot; brothers, Bob, Gerald, Horace, Morris and Willard Billiot; and sisters, Lillian Kohlmiller and Wilma Graham.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Ibert’s Mortuary with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
