Elzina Thomas Berryhill, 65, a native of Opelousas, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009.


Mrs. Berryhill was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.


She is survived by her husband, Horace Berryhill; daughters, Felicia (Charley) Thibodaux, Wanda (Michael) Fontenot and Sandra, Valerie and Beatrice Berryhill; sisters, Mildred (Herbert) Boast and Eva (Charles) Stelly; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curly and Beatrice Thomas; brothers, Oscar Sr. and Daniel Thomas; sister, Mary Ann Brown; and grandparents, Joseph and Philomene Thomas, and Oscar and Elzino Chenier.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will follow at 1 p.m. at the church.

She will be buried in Opelousas.
