Emile “Nue” Fields, 61, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, December 10.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Jenny Johnson Fields; four sons, Brent Fields, Eric Fields and wife Rita, Garett Fields and Joshua Fields and wife Candace; one daughter, Nikki Lynn Fields; two brothers, Harry and Johnny Fields; three sisters, Velma F. Duet, Audrey F. Rupp and Joyce F. Traigle; his father-in-law, Moise Johnson; and seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Jacob, Erica, NaKia, Mya and Trinity Fields and Sadie Rochel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lelia Roger Fields; one brother, Edward J. Fields; two sisters, Mary Ann Fields and Marie F. Thibodaux; and his mother-in-law, Leander Lee Johnson.
He was an employee of Duet Welding (Capital Welding) for 42 years.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with a religious service to follow at the funeral home chapel.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
