Emma Burrell, 73, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, May 30.


She is survived by her husband, Charles Burrell Sr.; sons, Charles Burrell Jr. and wife Tennille of Thibodaux, La., and Christopher Burrell and wife Kelly of Houma, La.; daughters, Ethel Dick and husband Louis Jr. of Gray, La., Beverly Burrell of Gray, Kathy Coleman and husband Frederick of Colorado, Dianne Burrell of Gray and Rhonda Declouet and husband Daniel of Patterson, La.; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lucille Hazley and Robert Brown; and grandparents, Leon and Viola Silas.

She was Baptist and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Gray with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
