Enola “Tetaunt” Crochet Rogers, 78, a native of Montegut, La. and resident of Cut Off, La., died Tuesday, May 19, at 3:40 a.m.


She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gillis Rogers; two sons, Wayne Rogers and wife, Phyllis, and Chris Rogers and wife, Roxanne; one daughter, Claudette R. Pitre and husband, Al; one brother, Miller Crochet; two sisters, Lucille Deroche and Regina Oliviea; 10 grandchildren, Mitzie Galjour, Michelle Sanamo, Monty Guidry, Jason Rogers, Janee Rogers, Travis Pitre, Trace Pitre, Angelle Curole, Aaron Rogers and Andy Dufrene; and 11 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Evence and Lorenza Ledet Crochet; one daughter, Cynthia R. Trosclair; three brothers, Elmore Crochet, Leo Crochet and John Crochet; and three sisters, Doris Peltier, Bessie Falgout and Marion Crochet.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a volunteer. She was an avid card player; she enjoyed bowling and loved sports.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off, La with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
