Era Fay “Frinchie” Dupree, 87, a native of Houston, Texas, and a resident of Chauvin, La., died on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at 11:19 a.m.

He is survived by daughters, Era (Dale) Duplantis, Linda (Carrol “Fred”) Fredrick and Deborah (Michael) Denning; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles L. and Era J. Rowell Dupree; wife, Mary Huskey Dupree; sister, Vera Dupree; and brothers, Abe, Charlie and Leroy Dupree.


Mr. Dupre was a member of the South Terrebonne Church of Christ, Woodmen of the World and the VFW. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, at Chauvin Funeral Home, from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. until service time at Roller Crouch McGee Funeral Home in Cave City, Ark.

A veteran’s service will be held Dec. 5, at 10 a.m., at Roller Crouch McGee Funeral Home.

He will be buried in Ward Cemetery in Strawberry, Ark.
