Eric James Rogers, 19, a native and resident of Bourg, LA., died Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Jan and Rachel Lane Rogers; one brother, Lane Rogers; one sister, Danielle Rogers Staehling and husband, Ryan; and his grandparents, Neva Morris, Bill Morris and Dorothy “Dot” Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Francis “Frank” Rogers and Daniel Pearson Lane; and his great-grandmother, Lucille “MawMaw Lucy” Naquin.

He was a student at Louisiana State University, a loyal tiger fan and avid golfer. He was a 2005 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and a member of the football team and golf team.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
