Ernest J. Borne, Jr., 50, a native of Thibodaux, LA. and a resident of Chackbay, LA., died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 to 11 a.m. funeral time, in which mass will take place, Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Chackbay.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Boudreaux Borne; his mother, Una Roger Borne; 2 sons, Gerard and wife, Lacy Borne, and Robby Borne; one brother, Earl Borne, and one grandchild, Layla Borne.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest J. Borne, Sr.

He loved fishing, hunting, and going to the camp with his family and friends.

Thibodaux Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
