Ernest Liner Jr., 57 a native and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, September 2, at 11:30.


He is survived by his wife, Margaret Liner; sons, Ernest (Poncho) and wife Angel, Jeremy (Jap) and wife Mandy, Lance (Curly) and Jesse Liner and companion Kim; daughters, Wanda Liner and Cassandra Liner and companion Travis; brothers, Ronald and Harold Liner and Errol Lacoste; sister, Bonnie Liner; and four grandchildren (two on the way).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Gertie Mae Melancon Liner; step-father, Elward Lacoste; and brother, Louis (Peanut) Liner.


He appeared as Santa Claue at Southland Mall for many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, September 19, and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 20, at Falgout Funeral Home with the funeral to follow Saturday. He will be buried at Rogers-Matherne Cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
