Ernest Joseph Navarre, 76, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La. and a resident of Houma, La., died at 11:10 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Isabelle Eve Dupre Navarre; one son Ernest “E.J.” Navarre Jr. and wife, Tammy; three daughters, Brenda N. Trosclair of Gray, La., Mona Faye N. Fanguy of Bayou Blue, La. and Jeanie N. Songe of Houma; three sisters, Margie Boudreaux and Virginia Hebert of Bayou Blue and Audrey Devalcourt of Lafayette, La.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellin and Jennie Bergeron Navarre; one daughter, Melissa Kaye Navarre; and two brothers, Norris and Horace Navarre.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
