Ernest Rankin Jordan, 79, a native of McHenry, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.


Mr. Jordan was the co-founder of Tube-Alloy Corp. He was an avid bass fisherman, hunter and entrepreneur.


He is survived by his wife, Pat Jordan; sons, Glen (Pamela), David (Nancy), Danny (Catherine) and Phillip Jordan; brother, Glen (Laura) Jordan; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Ila Jordan.

Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Moore Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Sunflower Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at First Baptist Church in Houma. (Chauvin)
