Ernest “Mannie” Junior Williams, 65, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007.


Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Evelma Fitch Williams of Houma; three sons, Ernest Williams and wife, Angela, Travis Williams and wife, Shanta’, and Todd Williams and wife, Krystle, of Houma; two daughters, Tammy Morgan and companion, Stuart Martin, and Liz Sanderford and husband, Danny, of Houma; one brother, Jessie Williams of Houma; two sisters, Delores Hotard of Houma and Laura Mae VanSomern of Slidell, La.; and five grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Sanderford, Taylor Renee Sanderford, Nygel Adam Williams, Madison Nicole Williams and Landen Travis Williams.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Anthony Williams and Aleah Gregoire Williams; and two brothers, Frank Williams and Wilton Williams.

He was a retired welder with SMATCO for 24 years.

He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered as a neat man who had a great attention for detail. He was a patient man who always had time to listen. He was a great family man to some and a great friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
