Evelynne Reedy Tyner, 83, a native of Petrolia, Texas, and resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Mrs. Tyner was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved cooking and entertaining. Although she lived in Louisiana for over 60 years, she still considered herself a “transplanted Texan.” She was a people person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Barry) Broussard, Carol (Brent) Wengert and Gail (Chris) DeHart; sisters, Mary Aston and Dorris Bryant; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Tyner; and parents, Wesley and Mary Reedy.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Ibert’s Mortuary with services to follow. Burial will be at Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
