October 27, 2011Faron “Scoop” Chiasson, 56, a lifelong resident of Galliano, La., died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011.
Mr. Chiasson was an active parishioner and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a successful businessman of 34 years in the marine industry and he was proud that he still holds the record for the SLHS men’s 4×400 relay. He was an inspiration to all those who knew him and will be greatly missed!
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Chiasson; daughter, Fallon Chiasson; father, Arnold Chiasson; and brother, Carl (Terri) Chiasson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juliet Chiasson.
Burial was at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
