Flora B. “Miss Flo” Serigny, 60, a native of Brownsville, Texas, and a resident of Galliano, La., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny R. Serigny Sr.; parents, Benjamin Bermudez and Ofelia Limons; eight children, Joe Sanchez and wife Jennifer, Olga Saucillo and husband Noe, Christina Dedon and husband Walter, Dana Duet and husband Ronnie, Norma Lafort and husband Jason, Johnny Serigny Jr. and wife Ashley, Anthony Serigny, and Priscilla Serigny and companion Mike Martin; and 21 grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and devoted much of her time to the Catholic Community Center. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to offset funeral costs.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., with the funeral service to follow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
