Floyd Anthony Trahan, 75, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Gibson, La., died Friday, March 4, 2011.

Mr. Trahan was a Sergeant with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and Ward 9 Constable, a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army National Guard, and a member of the Bayou Black Fire Department, Fire Chief’s Association and the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.


He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Humberson Trahan; sons, Mark (Juanita) and Jamie (Tara Pitre) Trahan; daughters, Vanessa (Raymond Ledet), Tina and Kim (Jimmy Chaisson) Trahan, Toni (Ronald) Bourgeois and Robin (Craig) Thibodeaux; 10 grandchildren, Kyle, Kasey, Phillip and Tyler Trahan, Chassie Hebert, Nicholas and Nichole Bourgeois, Christine Thibodeaux, Jade Trahan and Destiny Hyde; three step-grandchildren, Rachel, Katelyn and Hannah Ledet; nine great-grandchildren, Paige, Payton, Jameson, Jaxon and Averie Trahan, Kaden Bourgeois, Trae Use’, and Tacota and Jordan Thibodeaux; and one step-great-grandchild, Miley Trahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Uraine Antill Trahan; brother, Albert “NeeNie” Trahan; and grandchildren, Randy Trahan and Natasha Thibodeaux. (Chauvin)
