Frances Louise Duhon Mendoza, 76, a native of Broussard, La., and resident of Gonzales, La., died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011.


She is survived by her sons, James (Joanne), David (Monica) and Thomas (Carol) Mendoza; brother, Paul Duhon; stepbrother, Husville Guilbeau Jr.; stepsister, Mae Guilbeau Pugh; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Mendoza; parents, Camille Duhon and Husville Guilbeau Sr.; and one sister, Eva Marie Delcambre.


The family would like to give a special thanks to EMS, and to the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales.

She is interred at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.
