Francis Sidney Naquin, 88, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, June 5, 2010.


Mr. Naquin was a veteran of World War II and an active member of the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department, Vigilant Chemical and Hose, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed by Railway Express, Southern Pacific and Cameco. He loved good food, visiting with friends and family “Ro-day,” LSU football and the TV remote. He never met a stranger and was a good, simple man.


He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Melanie) and Keith (Kathleen “Katch) Naquin; sister, Doris Mae (Warren) Ledet; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two dear friends, Louis and Shirley Adams.

He is buried at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodaux.
