Frank J. Saia, 75, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Thursday, May 5, 2011.
Mr. Saia was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan and loved to watch sci-fi movies. He was best known and will be remembered for always trying to make people laugh and for his dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Saia; son, Chris (Dominica) Saia; one grandchild, Lacey Saia; sisters, Rose Thomley and Annette (Raymond) Monjure; niece and caregiver, Kathy Duran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo Sr. and Annie Russo Saia; son, Craig Saia; brothers, Vincent Sr., Steve, Joe Sr., Sam, Louis and Angelo Jr. Saia; and sisters, Angelina Chiasson and Josephine Kimball.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Russell Henry, Dr. Fritz Rau, Dr. David Pellegrin, Terrebonne General/CCU staff and Physicians Alliance staff.
He is buried at Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery. (Falgout)
