Freddie Anderson Johnson, 86, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., died January 3, 2007.


Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Community Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Dularge Community Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Union Benevolent Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Castle and husband, Dave of Houma; his brothers, Clarence Scoby and wife, Edith of New Orlenas, LA. and Calvin Tolbert of Houma; his sisters, Rosa Dell Adams of Raceland, LA., Lillie Morgan, Evelyn Jones and husband, Edgar, Betty Joseph and husband, Harvey ,and Earline Durkins and husband, Alexander of Houma; 7 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren


He is preceded in death by parents, Lester Johnson and Lulu Tolbert Scoby; his daughter, Gertie R. Scott; his brothers, Earl Scoby, James C. Johnson and Tom Scoby; his sisters, Maggie Richard, Alice Adams, Annie Kemp and Catherine Miller; his paternal grandparents, Hanson and Leah H. Johnson, and his maternal grandparents, Isaac and Lillie Creecy Tolbert.

He was a deacon with Dularge Community Baptist Church and a member of Men Day Association and Union Benevolent Association.

He was a foster grandparent at Southdown Elementary School.

He was a retired street sweeper with Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government.
