Frederick James Sr., 63, a native and resident of Reserve, La., died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl T. James; son, Frederick James Jr.; daughters, Shaunna and Christen James, Nicole (Collis) Jefferson and Ashley (Tran) Collins; mother, Ruth James; sisters, Rosalie (Alvin) Louis, Mary Hampton, Gloria (Sylvester) Dumas and Melinda James; brothers, Joseph Sr. (Olga), Leonard (Darcell), Milton and Wayne (Michelle) James; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was a retired house painter and the Organist for Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie, La.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Reserve with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. John Memorial Gardens in LaPlace, La.
Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
