Frederick M. Ayers Jr., 69, a native of Columbus, Ohio, and resident of Verdunville, La., died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ayers; sons, Scott Sorapuru, Rodney Elair and Jamal and Muhammad Ayers; daughters, Angela Metoyer, Mara Braziel and Saajida-Yaasmeen Leon; brother, Charles Ayers; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, La. (Jones)
