Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads

Gary J. Doucet, 64, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of St. Charles Parish, La., died at 7:36 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.
Mr. Doucet was a Knights of Columbus 4th degree for 36 years, LIFA member for 20 years, usher, Eucharistic minister, lecturer and religious educator at Holy Family, St. Gertrude and St. John Catholic Churches. He was also a member of the Hahnville Lions Club for 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Doucet; sons, Garrett (Katheryn) and Patrick (Lacey) Doucet; brother, Eddie Doucet; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocean and Loretta Doucet.
Interment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Paradis, La. (Falgout)
